How to care for your Armadillo Mailbox.

The care requirements for your Armadillo Mailbox are minimal. A rule of thumb would be to care for your mailbox like you would your automobile. Since the mailbox has a powder coat finish, a wash and wax every so often will help to keep the shine and glossy look. Overall, this will increase the life of your Armadillo Mailbox.

How to operate your new mailbox.

Outgoing Mail
Place your outgoing mail just inside the non-locking door, just as you would with any mailbox.
If you have a major problem in your area, it is recommended that all outgoing mail be dropped off to the local post office. If you have to use your mailbox for outoing mail, do not use the flag to signal the carrier. Mail carriers will pick up your outgoing mail regardless if the flag is used or not.

Mail Carrier Delivery
After the mail carrier removes your outgoing mail, they will place your incoming mail inside and simply raise the balanced tray (aka tilt deck) to send the mail or package to the bottom of the mailbox.

Retrieving Your Mail
To retrieve your mail, use your key to unlock the door of the storage compartment, and you'll find your mail safe, dry, and waiting for YOU to read.
